United States and Canada
Americans always like to brag about how they invented rock and roll, and there are a hell of a lot of good groups here.  But there's so damn many bands that it takes some digging to find the best, and a lot of the time, and the best aren't very well known. Noise For Heroes always tried to pay attention to the bands no one else was catching on to...a lot of the bands featured here that did become moderately well known were featured in NFH before there was any kind of a buzz about them. Of course, there are some that are so damn good that you want to write about them no matter how popular they are getting. So even though American bands weren't really the main focus of Noise For Heroes, we covered a ton of them. Hopefully you you'll find out about a great band you managed to miss before in what comes below.

THE DOUGHBOYS - Oh, Canada! Montreal's Doughboys update Stiff Little Fingers styled punk rock with hardcore tempos and pop melodies
THE FASTBACKS - Before there was grunge, before there was Shawn Kemp, even before there were double espressos, Seattle had the Fastbacks going for them. Punk pop like no other punk pop.
