Noise For Heroes
began out of a love for the 70s punk bands that came in the wake of the Sex Pistols and
the Ramones. Because the magazine didn't start until 1980, many of these bands had already
called it a day. So most of the features on those bands were retrospectives. But
there are still some interesting features, and I've added more as time has gone along.

- A great political punk band from 1977-1979
who deserve the same level of respect accorded to the Jam and the Clash

- In retrospect somewhat of a one lp wonder, but
these guys had punk pop magic in a bottle while it lasted.

- There from the beginning days of the 100 Club,
